Introduction
Meeting the needs of patients in our community is the goal of the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC). To accomplish this, STBTC works to collect the most effective blood component, based on donor blood type and current patient need. The need for red blood cells, platelets and plasma is monitored daily, which helps us determine the preferred products to collect on a given day.
STBTC seeks to manage its entire inventory by collecting the right amount, in the right type at the right time. With your audience, we are certain you can help raise awareness on the needs of the community blood supply for over 100 hospitals and clinics in a 43 county area.
